I just finished my experimental portfolio, which is the result of a course at university. The task was to conceive, design and develop a portfolio for oneself. In my case my professor told me to try something completely different.
So instead of presenting every piece of work clearly and at once (like I usually do), the concept is, that the user has to search for the content. The mouse pointer acts like a kind of flashlight that reveals images and texts when hovering them.
As i said, this is experimental. I know that there are lots of problems concerning usability and accessibility.
